Advanced Placement (AP)

Each year, the College Board administers 38 Advanced Placement (AP) exams in art, mathematics, sciences, English language, history, and world languages and cultures. Most schools offer AP courses to prepare students for these exams. AP courses, approved by the College Board, are rigorous high school courses meant to mirror the difficulty of a college course.
