Math Olympiads (MOEMS)

The Mathematical Olympiads for Elementary and Middle School (MOEMS) is a nationwide contest in which teams of 4th-8th grade students compete to solve difficult math problems.  Offered several times a year, the MOEMS challenges students to answer math problems creatively, using more than just traditional quantitative skills. The program awards individual participants who score well on the test, but more importantly, teaches young students to approach problem-solving flexibly, enjoy learning outside of the classroom, and gain appreciation for the value of creative thinking. We encourage our interested grade school students to challenge themselves in our MOEMS enrichment because we believe that our program’s emphasis on early engagement prepares them for a future of academic achievement.
